about

Hardanger-fiddlers from Østre Sildre, Valderes in Norway.

Knut Ø. Rudi (1878 - 1972) and Olaf Okshovd (1872 - 1960).

"Jørn Vrengja" (aka Jornvrongia) is a tune which was composed by the most famous folk fiddler in Norway; Torgeir "Myllarguten" Augundsson (The Miller's Boy).

"Jørn" can either be a persons name, or it can bear the meaning "iron". The word "vrengja" in musical terminology which means a difficult tune to play, it bears the same etymology as the english word "wrong" and means twisted and crooked. So one can somewhat translate the title to "The iron Wry"
